A Piece of Advice from a Red Bird

Oh, Shinmin. You, who be of the common run of man,

should carry on living as you are,

even though you could not yet achieve the spiritual enlightenment you wish for.

But you should know that this is the very process through which

you were bestowed with compassionate mercy.

Go on, living as you have been.
